Ellen Armstrong, Founder

Ellen Armstrong is the owner and operator of Armstrong Tutoring. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Armstrong held a Florida Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 6–12, Mathematics Grades 5–9, Elementary Education Grades 1–6, and Gifted Endorsement. She has 7 years of experience as a classroom mathematics teacher in South Tampa, 5 years of experience as an education consultant for one of the largest school districts in the nation, as well as two local universities, and over 12 years of experience as a mathematics tutor. As an education consultant, she has mentored dozens of classroom teachers, designed and presented numerous in-service workshops for educators, and created curricula and assessments used in the school system. Mrs. Armstrong’s familiarity with all aspects of education is what allows her to evaluate and recruit the most qualified and effective teachers.

Mr. Alvarez - Mathematics

Mr. Alvarez teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Liberal Arts Math, Math for College Readiness, Advanced Topics, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, SAT Math, ACT Math, and ACT Science. He has been teaching mathematics since 2004. Mr. Alvarez has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering from the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Havana, as well as a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas. He has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 6–12 and Physics Grades 6–12. Currently, Mr. Alvarez teaches math courses at a high school in Tampa.

Ms. Bouallegue - French

Ms. Bouallegue teaches all levels of French, including AP French. She has earned two Master's degrees: one in Secondary Education and another in Foreign Languages. She began her professional teaching career in 2008 and is currently a stay-at-home mother devoting her time to her family and students.

Brant

Mr. Brant - Science

Mr. Brant teaches Physics, AP Physics I, AP Physics II, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, and both SL and HL IB Physics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Master of Arts in Education, beginning his teaching career in 2001. He retired from full-time teaching in 2022 and currently teaches online classes. Mr. Brant holds a Texas Educator Certificate in Secondary Chemistry with a Physics endorsement.

Mrs. Brink - Biology and AP CS Principles

Mrs. Brink teaches Biology, AP Biology, and AP Computer Science Principles. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science and Chemistry from Otterbein College in Ohio and holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certification in Biology Grades 6–12. Mrs. Brink has many years of experience as a middle school and high school teacher, as well as experience as an AP Biology reader/scorer with the College Board, a science content creator, and a mentor for AP teachers.

Mrs. Celestine - Science & Mathematics

Mrs. Celestine teaches middle school science and math, high school math up to AP Calculus AB, high school biology, chemistry, AP Biology, and college-level biology, microbiology, and Calculus 1. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology from Saint Vincent College and a Master of Arts in Administration from the University of Phoenix, alongside Secondary Education Certifications in Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. Her professional teaching career began in 2009, bringing extensive classroom instruction, curriculum development, and one-on-one instructional experience across both STEM disciplines. Mrs. Conrad - English Language Arts

Mrs. Conrad teaches 7th-12th grade English/Language Arts, AP Language and Composition, SAT Reading, ACT English and Reading, Journalism, and Creative Writing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English and a Master of Education. She started her teaching career in 1997 and currently teaches 8th-grade Language Arts and 12th-grade AP English Language and Composition. She is credentialed with a Pennsylvania Professional Teaching Certificate in English 6-12.

deNicolo

Mrs. deNicolo - Mathematics

Mrs. deNicolo teaches math from the 4th-grade level through middle school math, alongside Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and SAT/ACT math prep. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. She began teaching in 2008 and currently works as a high school math teacher. She is certified with a Connecticut Professional Educator Certification for Mathematics grades 4-12.

Mrs. Gallagher launched her professional teaching career in 2001 and brings a quarter-century of dedicated classroom experience to her instructional practice. Mrs. Greco is a National Board Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience as a middle and high school teacher, a math district resource specialist, an education consultant, and a college mathematics and business instructor.

Mrs. Haught teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus 1, and provides preparation for ACT and SAT math. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education & Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematics. She entered the teaching profession in 1991 and currently teaches high school math in Ohio, holding a permanent Ohio teaching license in mathematics 7-12.

Mrs. Hayes - Mathematics

Mrs. Hayes teaches Algebra 2, traditional and AP Precalculus, traditional and AP Calculus AB, and traditional and AP Statistics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Mathematical Sciences and a Master of Education in Secondary Mathematics. She began her professional teaching career in 1995 and is currently retired as of 2025. Mrs. Hayes also holds a North Carolina Teaching License in 9-12 Mathematics.

Ms. Hayman - English Language Arts

Ms. Hayman teaches English I, II, III, and IV, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, AP Seminar and Research, SAT Reading & Writing, and ACT English & Reading. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Science in Educational Management. She started teaching in 2009 and currently teaches high school English and college preparatory courses online, while also mentoring new educators and developing curriculum. She holds a Texas Professional Teaching Certificate in English Language Arts and Reading, Grades 8-12.

Hughes

Ms. Hughes - Mathematics

Ms. Hughes teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Statistics. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), a Master of Science in Engineering Management, and a Master of Science in Information Technology. She began her teaching career in 2011 and currently teaches math at a Career Technical Center high school in Ohio. She holds multiple credentials, including an Ohio Professional Teaching License in Integrated Mathematics (4-12), an Advanced Career Technical License in Engineering Technologies, and a Professional Principal License (5-12).

Ieradi

Mrs. Ieradi - Italian and Spanish

Mrs. Ierardi teaches Spanish 7-12, Italian 7-12, and remedial reading and language arts K-12. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Italian and Spanish, alongside specialized credentials as a Remedial Reading and Language Arts Specialist. Her professional teaching career began in 2000, and she dedicated 21 years to the classroom before retiring from full-time language instruction in 2021. She maintains active teaching certifications in Connecticut for Italian grades 7-12, Spanish grades 7-12, and remedial reading/language arts K-12, as well as New Hampshire for Italian grades 7-12. She utilizes her extensive background in both language acquisition and literacy to create highly effective, tailored lessons that help students build confidence and excel across grade levels.

Ms. Keller - Elementary and Special Education

Ms. Keller has been teaching elementary school for over 20 years. She teaches students in grades 2-5 reading, writing, and math. She earned her elementary teaching credential at California State University and has a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Psychology. She is an ESE (Exceptional Student Education) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) specialist, has mentored teachers, and has attended numerous diverse Master’s classes. Ms. Keller is proficient in many elementary curriculums and is an avid believer in Core Knowledge. She is passionate about encouraging students to learn based on their learning styles, elevating their confidence, and inspiring them to reach their full potential.

King

Mrs. King - Study Skills

Mrs. King teaches elementary math, reading, writing, and special education social skills, organization, executive functioning, study skills, and time management across elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Rank 2 for Special Education with Learning and Behavior Disorders. She began her teaching career in 1993 and is a retired Educational Behavior Trainer and consultant. She holds a Kentucky Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12 Learning and Behavioral Disorders.

Kovanis

Mrs. Kovanis - Science

Mrs. Kovanis teaches AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, general Chemistry, Algebra 1, and middle school math. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Mathematics, alongside a Master of Arts in Science Education. Her teaching career began in 1992, and she currently teaches chemistry and math at a high school in Michigan. She holds a Michigan Professional Certificate in both Chemistry (7-12) and Mathematics (7-12).

Lamar

Mrs. Lamar - Mathematics

Mrs. Lamar teaches Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus. She holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Science and began her career as an educator in 2007. Outside of her work with students, she serves as the Secondary Math Specialist for Region 15. She is certified with a Texas Teaching Certificate in Mathematics Grades 8-12.

Lehman

Mrs. Lehman - Chemistry

Mrs. Lehman teaches all levels of high school chemistry, AP Chemistry, college-level General Chemistry 1 and 2, and college-level Organic Chemistry 1. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and began her career in education in 1998. After a dedicated career, she retired from teaching high school chemistry in 2025. She holds a New Jersey Physical Science Teaching Certificate.

She has over 10 years of experience as a math tutor, 13 years of experience as a math teacher, and over 17 years of experience in Administration. Mrs. Lienau - Latin

Mrs. Lienau teaches all levels of Latin I–V, including AP Latin. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Greek and Latin as well as a Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. Mrs. Lienau was a Latin, English, and Greek teacher in the state of Maine for 30 years. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she has also written and published an AP Latin textbook.

Mrs. Mack - Mathematics

Mrs. Mack teaches Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a secondary education certificate, and a Master's in Classroom Technology. She began her teaching career in 1996 and recently retired in 2024. She maintains her Pennsylvania Certificate in Mathematics for grades 7-12.

McClain

Mr. McClain - Mathematics

Mr. McClain teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and offers SAT and ACT preparation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. He began teaching in 1993 and currently teaches high school mathematics in Pennsylvania. Mr. Messer - Mathematics

Mr. Messer teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, as well as SAT and ACT prep. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. He began his teaching career in 1997 and is currently retired from his role as a high school math teacher. Mrs. Montero - English Language Arts

With over 35 years of experience, Mrs. Montero excels in teaching reading, writing, and language arts, including AP Language and Composition. A tutor for Language Arts, PSAT, SAT, ACT, SSAT, and HSPT prep, she holds a Bachelor's in English Education and a Master's in Exceptional Child Education of the Gifted from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Montero held a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate for English Grades 6–12, with endorsements in gifted education and ESOL. She's been Teacher of the Year at both Hillsborough High School and USF and holds a National Board Teacher Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Language Arts. Beyond the classroom, she contributed as a College Board reader/scorer for the AP English Language and Composition exam, mentored National Board Certification candidates, and led educational workshops. She was a writer for the AP Language curriculum and mentored interns and emerging teachers, embodying dedication to education's advancement.

Ms. Mousseau - Social Studies

Ms. Mousseau teaches social studies courses, including AP US History, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Microeconomics. She has both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in Social Studies Education from the University of South Florida. Ms. Mousseau has been a social studies teacher since 1999 and has a Social Studies Grades 6–12 Florida Teaching Certificate. She is a member of the Global Schools Project at the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Center for Global Solutions at the University of South Florida. Ms. Mousseau has been a presenter at both the Florida Council for Social Studies and the National Council for Social Studies conferences. She is also an AP grader for APUSH and teaches at an IB high school in Tampa.

Oldham

Dr. Oldham - Social Studies

Dr. Oldham teaches AP European History, AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP U.S. Government, Sociology, U.S. History, and Global Studies, as well as college-level American History and Western Civilization. He holds a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Leadership Studies from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Arts in History from Western Kentucky University, a Master of Arts in Education from Cumberland University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lee University. His professional teaching career began in 2009, bringing extensive high school and postsecondary instructional experience, curriculum development expertise, and published academic research to his practice. Mrs. Parrill - Mathematics

Mrs. Parrill teaches Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and SAT/ACT math prep. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Mathematics, alongside an Ohio Integrated Mathematics 7-12 Teaching Certification. Her professional teaching career began in 2016, bringing extensive classroom and dual-enrollment instructional experience to her practice as a current high school math and College Credit Plus (CCP) educator. Mrs. Paulson - Mathematics

Mrs. Paulson teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Administration with a Principal Endorsement. She launched her teaching career in 2017 and currently teaches mathematics at a high school in Iowa. She is certified with an Iowa Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 6-12.

Ms. Plourde teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Ringenberg

Mr. Ringenberg - Social Studies

Mr. Ringenberg teaches Global Studies, World History, AP World History, and Geography. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. He kicked off his teaching career in 2000 and currently teaches AP World History and World History in Indiana. He holds an Indiana Professional Teaching Certificate in World Civilization and Geography 5-12.

Mrs. Sietz - English Language Arts

Mrs. Sietz is an accomplished educator who instructs various English Language Arts classes, including AP English Language and AP English Literature. Mrs. Thornburg - Mathematics

Mrs. Thornburg teaches middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, AP Precalculus, College Algebra, and freshman college math. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in secondary education, and a Master of Science in Education in Teacher Leadership.
