Study Skills/Executive Functioning Lessons

The rigorous academic loads and extracurricular schedules faced by pre-teen and teenage learners can become overwhelming. By serving as a bridge between parents and students, we alleviate the pressure associated with long assignments and rigorous exams, sparing them from late-night cramming and unnecessary stress. In essence, our aim is to ensure that students approach the transitions from elementary school to middle school, middle school to high school, and high school to college with confidence and ease.

Using the student's current curriculum, notes, and textbooks, our study skills tutors not only offer weekly support and help plan for the upcoming weeks but also teach students how to become self-sufficient learners. Our study skills tutors work on:

  • Organizational Skills
  • Listening and Note-Taking Skills
  • Effective Academic Reading
  • Preparing for Different Types of Assessments
  • Utilizing All Available Resources
  • Test-Taking Strategies
  • Time-Management
  • Effective Planning and Goal Setting
